Should I Join a Coaching Class to pass SSC CGL, UPSC CSAT Examination or Not ?
This would be the first question when a person starts preparation for any of the above mentioned exams. Despite having a bunch of coaching giants in our neighborhood, finding a quality coaching institute is a hard task and this task would be very difficult if a person who is new to a city like Delhi. However, there are many misconceptions and rumors like one cannot pass the examination without coaching or coaching is the only medium to get a Government Job.
In the past few months, I have received many emails from different parts of the country and all mails are almost same. They just want to know the best institutes to prepare for SSC CGL or UPSC Prelims and CSAT.
Now, you want to know my views on this topic. Well, my answer to such queries is a big 'NO'.
You might have heard about people those who have passed the exams as such without coaching. There are numerous examples available on the internet itself. In earlier times, there are not so much coaching facilities available to people living both in urban areas as well in rural. Even today, people living in rural areas are not getting the same kind of coaching facilities which a urban man is getting. Still, you can see that there is no dearth of persons passing the exams every year. Many people migrates from rural areas to urban areas just because of the availability of facilities. One of the main reason of rural migration is this also. But we are not talking here about Migration of People from Rural to Urban Areas. You might have understand the meaning which I want to convey.

So, there is always a myth that if I had joined some coaching classes, I would be securing more marks and more fruitful result would be there. Well, result can be fruitful even if you study on your own or with the help of Internet. As there are lots of websites, lots of articles and information available on internet nowadays, one can also prepare for any exam with Internet also. One thing we always have to keep in mind while reading on internet and that is authenticity. We should not mug up whatever written on Internet. We should relate it with the really. Only authentic information must be grabbed.
How to prepare for any exam without coaching ?
I would like mention that I am not advertise any particular institute or books here. I am just conferring my views upon the queries asked by our readers. So, let's have a look how we can prepare for any exam without coaching.

OK, I will definitely crack this exam, no matter what it takes. Coaching is nothing but to make you sit for a particular goal which you want to achieve. Many students thinks...I can't study on my own. Who will clear my doubts ? From where I would get help in case I need one ? Such question would probably be there once you are ready to study for the first time.
Tips for study without coaching :-
- Makes notes whatever you learn. So that revision would be easy when exams will be there.
- Do not make paper cutting from newspaper or books. Just write them down in a diary or notebook. Because newspapers cutting will be difficult to keep them for long.
- Make a habit of daily routine study. Never try to escape from study schedule.
- Stay away from negative people who are pessimistic about life and studies.
- Whenever feel bored, get a ride or do whatever makes you fresh.
- Study hard for mock tests. Never try to skip them. Mock tests are nothing but a kind of periodic test same as in your schools.
- Take help from your classmates. Classmates are all your friends. If anyone is getting more marks, do not show anger or feel jealous. Review your performance and see where you are lacking.
- If you have doubts, try to clear it as soon as possible. You can take help of your elder ones.
- Follow up the syllabus rigorously without make it delay. Never left work for tomorrow.
- If you are on a job, make friends who are also preparing for the same exam or other. Form a group and do group study in the free time.
